Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Got there 10minutes before it opened and the employee said they where not open yet. As I was walking away I heard him make a very terrible comment towards me to the other employee.
So I went to Ace, and I was treated like family. I did not approach the staff - they came to me and offered their help. A store associate and a manager both offered fantastic advise, and helped explain what I needed and how to use it properly. I went home with the right materials and know-how to finish my fire pit.
Best service in town. Friendly associates who actually know what they are talking about. This Lawn Care Nut loves his hometown Ace.
Very nice employees, and that's about it. Their inventory is extremely lacking. They never have what I need, and employees are forced to suggest alternative options. What they do have is overpriced. The final straw was when they would take back an item I bought. Even though it was within 30 days, and sealed in the package. This is because I bought the item a few days before a hurricane came through Florida. The owners of this should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of local customers who try to do the right thing and get prepared. I'll keep my $60 brand new, sealed item, but I will not be purchasing anything again from this store.
I don't know why this place does not have more 5 star reviews. It seems like most people are overly critical and that is a shame because this is the best service I have experienced in years. I will continue to do business with Ace in the future and you should too!
Let me start by saying that Ace Hardware is the best place in town to go to for your project needs. I went in this afternoon on 8/31 to find a good construction compound for my fire pit. I had received poor advice from Lowes and ended up using an adhesive that melts at 140 degrees. I had to completely undo my all of my hard work and start over.

Will never shop there again. Worst customer service. Worst return process and policy. And the hurricane return policy was unreasonable. Home Depot and Lowes weren't like that. They think everyone is trying to steal from them, so they follow you in the store. The checkout process with using a debit and them making you sign instead of pin and holding your debit card (that had my photo on it), not normal. Also, not being able to return at another Ace store due to each one being independently owned. You have lost 2 high paying customers.
